Trainers, Cheats and What Is Actually Safe

Search results promise a Moon Sweepers trainer with infinite money and instant cleaning. Here is what actually exists, what the risk is, and how to get the same outcome without a download.

Quick answer

There is no official trainer, no developer console, and no built-in cheat menu in Moon Sweepers. Third-party trainers exist as downloadable executables, but they are unaudited, they can corrupt saves, and they do not work meaningfully in co-op because money and upgrades are shared with the host's session.

Watch outWe do not link to trainers

This page explains the landscape. It deliberately contains no download links, because we cannot verify that any third-party trainer binary is safe.

There is no official trainer

DragDrop Games has not shipped a cheat menu, a debug console, or a sandbox mode. The game is built in Unity and self-published by a two-person team, which means there is no publisher-side tooling either.

What exists in the wild are memory-editing tools — typically generic trainers built for Unity games and then pointed at Moon Sweepers' process. They are not made by the developers and are not supported by them.

What third-party trainers risk

Risks of using an unofficial trainer
RiskWhat it means in practice
MalwareTrainer executables are the most common vector for infostealers in game modding.
Save corruptionWriting values the game does not expect can break a save. The 1.0.4 backup system helps, but only for saves made after it.
Broken achievementsValues set directly may not trigger achievement counters, which are event-based.
Co-op desyncClient-side memory edits do not replicate. Other players see different numbers.
Crashes on patch dayTrainers break with every game update, and this game updates often.
No supportIf a trainer breaks your save, the developers cannot help you.

NoteThe backup system is your real safety net

Since 1.0.4 the game keeps five automatic backups per slot in C:\Users\<you>\AppData\LocalLow\DragDropGames\MoonSweepers\Backups. That is genuinely useful, but it is not a licence to experiment carelessly.

Why cheats and co-op do not mix

Moon Sweepers uses shared money and, since patch 1.0.3, a shared upgrade matrix. That means the host's state defines the session. A client-side trainer that gives you infinite money affects what you see, not what the crew sees — and if it corrupts the host's save, everyone loses their progress.

In practice, the only person a trainer meaningfully affects in co-op is the host, and the only reliable outcome is a desynchronised session.

Mods and Workshop

Steam Workshop support is not listed for Moon Sweepers. Community modding is essentially nonexistent — the game is a recent, self-published Unity release with no official mod API.

If you see a site advertising Moon Sweepers mods, check what is actually hosted there. In our checks, listings were empty or pointed at generic Unity trainers rather than content mods.

Legitimate ways to go faster

Every outcome a trainer promises is reachable in-game, usually faster than people expect. In order of impact:

  1. Fix your transport before anything else. Most slow economies are a stalled belt, not a low income rate. See the automation guide.
  2. Process your dust. Moon Sand sells for 3x and Moonstone for 7x. A $500 Pressure Chamber beats almost any other purchase of the same price.
  3. Play co-op. Shared money and shared upgrades mean a four-player crew earns roughly four times as fast for the same purchases.
  4. Buy the Packager. $100 to stop walking is the cheapest quality-of-life purchase in the game.
  5. Use the Region Bounty upgrade if you finish regions. It pays reliably for finishers and not at all for drifters.

The money guide has the full sequence, and the profit calculator will show you how much processing is worth at your current rate.

Protect your save first

Regardless of what you install, do these three things before experimenting with anything:

  1. Update to 1.0.4 or later so automatic backups are active.
  2. Copy the Backups folder somewhere outside AppData.
  3. Test in a separate save slot, never your main world.

Watch outRolling back is one-way

1.0.4 saves cannot be opened in older versions of the game. If you downgrade for any reason, a 1.0.4 save is unreadable — another argument for keeping a manual copy.
